Hello. I watched this animutation when I was an undergrad. I still send it to my friends. I looked it up again because this song was included in my little sister's dance dance revolution game and I sang your reworked lyrics while she played, and she laughed her head off. I just wanted to say that this particular animutation, along with the "highschool icecapades" one, has become a permanent part of my life.

Oh my! But how can we DO anything about this? This is just HUMAN NATURE! The dictators we put in charge of poor countries are just going to steal our donations! Plus a lot of those dictators ran up big debts to our banks while they were running those countries for us, so we better collect those before we feed anyone. We’re so generous that we even FORGIVE a lot of these greedy Africans for their debt, and we get the money to do this by reducing 1 dollar of foreign aid for every dollar of debt we forgive, yet still they go NOWHERE! We even give those goofy poor folks a chance to borrow MORE money. All we ask in return is that they let us monopolize their markets while we block them from competing in our own country’s economy –this is called free trade. These people obviously can’t help themselves. We have to take 3 dollars out of Africa for every 1 dollar we put in just so we can make enough profit to DONATE to these backwards natives! They can’t even make their own MEDICINE because that would violate our copyright laws. Like all other things that make poor people poor, intellectual property rights are a law of nature: Pharmaceutical firms have to make private profit off publicly funded medical research, otherwise there would be no REASON for governments to spend tax dollars on biology! So you see, nothing done by the rich countries can affect the poor countries, because they were made poor by forces of nature – the same forces of nature that made us rich!
